In my 35 years as a personal trainer, I have logged over 40,000 hours in one-to-one personal training with clients of all ages and abilities. To maintain a training edge that keeps my clients enthused and dedicated, I attend industry conferences and events to keep pace of new training techniques and tools and read daily from many different health and fitness articles. I have been a guest speaker at events and have consulted in the opening of several fitness facilities. I have been a certified high school coach for the state of Connecticut and currently hold a Bronze level coaching card through USA Wrestling coaches’ education program. I started the youth wrestling program for 2nd – 8th grade children at the Easton Community Center which is now merged with the Redding Boys and Girls Club at Joel Barlow High School, and I was Head Coach for the Joel Barlow High School wrestling team in Redding, CT from 2011-2018.
I have a B.S. degree in Athletic Administration with a minor in Business Administration from St. John’s University. I have been a personal trainer since 1988 with certifications from American Aerobic Association, International Sports Medicine Association and National Strength and Conditioning Association.
I was an Olympic Torch Bearer for the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympic Games, selected as a community hero for outstanding volunteer service at Elderhouse Adult Day Care (Norwalk), and I was a volunteer with Health and Humor Associates (Stamford Hospital), Camp Hemlocks (Hebron), Easterseals fundraiser (Westport) and Team in Training for the Leukemia Society.
With Philonetics, I take a holistic approach to fitness. I believe that fitness is not just about working out, but also about proper nutrition, stress management, and self-care. I will work with you to create a personalized program that addresses all aspects of your health and wellness.

There is no “typical” workout, and each training session is different, designed specifically to each client’s needs and altered with every workout. I am a strong believer in core training and functional training and focus on building strength through exercises that will support everyday activities. My specialty is working with senior citizens over 75 years old.
I offer one-on-one personal training or two-to-one personal training sessions for all ages at PTP Fitness at 3683 Post Road: Southport, CT 06890.
I also do group fitness classes at a location of your choosing, and online coaching upon request and location availability.
My area of specialty includes fitness training for 70 years old and above and sport specific training for athletes.
